Now all th 'rt remained to be done were the plans for a dummy to carry out the idea. These were perfected at many staff meet- ings and at a spaghetti feed at the home of the editor. The staff soon found that it takes timef-lots of ite-to take pictures and identify the people in them, get copy written and typed for the printer and engraver, check and double check and then check again every name, make lists for this and that, decide on what goes where, and pick a cover. But now their task is finished. They've tried to turn out a hook of which they and the whole student body may be proud. Mary Ruth Morse is the editor, and Merry Ann Vieira is her assistant. Both study and play are an important part of school life. lt takes, too people who will work unselfishly and give service to the school without thought of return. Pictured on this page and the following are some of the groups which are necessary to the smooth functioning of the school day. Ever ready to nail a heel back on a shoe or hunt up extra chairs for a meeting, the school cus- todians are depended upon by faculty and stu- dents. This year in addition to keeping the school rieat and clean, they have built new garages and made a clubhouse for visiting teams from the old garages. They have put out many new plants in the front and side yards. Switchboard operators in the office handle all incoming and outgoing calls and must be cour- teous and efficient. They give up their study period to perform this necessary duty. ln the top picture on the right some of the girls in a cooking class are being shown how to serve meals. During the year the classes prepared luncheons and dinners for the faculty, junior and senior play casts, the Red Cross, the boys' and girls' sports team, and for themselves.
