i JMX, 0 rv- Mi-fx . 'U'Q-'5llm- 'I t ' ll 8. erm , A ffm A , 9 9' titer f 11 1W ' Junior Class Under the guidance of the Junior class advisors, Miss ll'inchell and Miss Jolly- inan. the Junior class has this year shown good school spirit in all its undertakings. ln commenioration of Charles Dickens' revivals in the theaters of New York and elsewhere members of the Junior class presented to the Student Body o11 lNlarch 23 some interesting scenes from Pickwick Papers. Hard Times and David Copper- Hcldf, three of Dickens' best known novels. Mr. Macawber. in the person of Cecil George. introduced the various characters in the different scenes. He also presented to the students his wife, Mrs. Macawber CJoan McGeogheganj, who very emphati- cally and repeatedly assured everyone that she would never leave her dear husband- no, never! This program was one of the best ot' the year, and many of the students who had ncvcr before found Charles Dickens interesting realized for the first time how very much alive his characters are. The annual Junior dance. a farewell to thc Seniors. was given on the eve of May 18. in thc gymnasium of our school. The decorations were in keeping with May. Carlands of flowers draped the pillars which were wound with greens. The walls were banked with ferns and a vast assortment of tlowers. A large May basket in the back of the room contained space for the orchestra. Late in the evening punch was served by members of the Junior class. A little closer feeling of comradeship seemed to pervade the atmosphere. due to the fact that it was the last dance of the school year-the last one at which the Seniors and lower classmen would all be together. Another program was given by thc class on June 20. lt took the form of a fare- well to the Senior class of '28. Members of the Junior class have generously co-ntributed their talent to school clraniatics. Of the twenty girls who received G. P. A. L. emblems, ten of them were Juniors. The class boasts of eighty-six members. :Qtr Yi., PAGE Z7
