With the reality of senior year rapidly approaching, the juniors went through a great deal of anxiety and stress throughout the year. Due dates piled up. and it became a frantic race to meet them. Term papers, book reports, homework, tests, and afterschool activities were sometimes shoved into a one week period, which led to stu- dent burn-out. The stress be- gan after the realization that the junior year is given consid- erable weight on college od- missions. Requirements needed to be met, counseling was set up, and taking the P.S.A.T.'s and S.A.T.'s were contended with. The juniors found all of their time disappearing. and searched for relief from the strain of school. lt was all for the good of the future, but it sure took away from the present. Catherine Hannon endures ju- nior year pressure during frus- trating research in the library. fx
