Participation And Growth At Camp Each summer, The cheerleading squad aTTends The UniTed SpiriT Associ- aTion cheerleading camp, which is held aT U.C,S.B. For four days and Three nighTs They spend Time learning new cheers, original ideas for rallies, and cre- aTive ways To promoTe spiriT. CompeTiTions are a major parT of camp, and This year The J.V. and VarsiTy squads did exTremely well. Every ribbon ThaT The J.V.'s won was a superior award: The highesT caTagory possible. The J.V. squad also won a Trophy in This caTagory. The VarsiTy cheerleaders won awards from boTh The excellenT and superior divisions. In Their compeTiTions our cheerleaders proved Their enThusiasm and pride in SanTa Clara.
