Who Are We?- Who Elsel?-5. C. !! Our cheerleading squad this year consisted of 8 JV and 7 Varsity members. Together we supported Santa Clara's football and basketball teams throughout the 4985-86 school year. We practiced 3 times a week to perfect cheers and routines for the games and rallies. Promoting spirit was hard work, but we were success- ful! We made boutonnieres for team members, and hung posters at games and at school to encourage and support our most cherished teams. By running the pep-rallies, developing skits, games, and cheers to en- tertain the student body, we were able to boost confi- dence and show our support not only for our players, but for our school. We owe a special thanks to our moderator, Mrs. Linda Fuchs for her ideas and support all year. We also owe a lot of thanks to the student body. Their support for S.C. kept us motivated and without them, success would have been impossible. Looking back, the hard work and extra time we put in was all worth it. We were honored to be a part of Santa Clara during its successful year in sports. -Susan Santangelo Right: ls that a pose by Shannon Yanez, or is that o pose?
