52 9 'E ,Q I ' K Dedicated wi th Without extracurricular activities, school would probably get very monoto- nous. Most clubs are formed to present an opportunity for the students to get more involved in school. There are three types of clubs: the first is a group formed to let the students work ln producing something that they can take pride in. The Drama Club puts on a Talent Show and a few plays each year. while improving the acting abilities of its members. The Pep Club keeps school spirit and student participation running high. ASB, along with the student Senate, arranges all activities and helps the school run smoothly. The Band, just recently revived, performs at rallies and games. The second type of organizations are the exclusive clubs for students who are accomplished in certain areas. Students who excell in academics are brought together in CSF, an honorary organization. Those who have earned their letter in any sport may belong to the Varsity or Letterman's Club. The final type of organization is for those with special interests. People who enjoy working with computers can learn more about them and practice their uses through the Computer Club. Anyone taking French l,2, or 3 is able to join the French Club, and those people who are interested in. or have a talent for public speaking belong to the Speech Club. Specifically, all of these clubs have very distinct purposes, each one being a special, unique group. But taken together. clubs enrich and complete a high school education. Left: Committed to improvement, Ned Elfrink and Armando Chavez practice. Above: Involvement is a key purpose of clubs as LeAnn Locher takes part in an assembly.
