As Cees they experience high school competi- tion tor the first time and learn to play as a team, not as indivi- dual players. This year our C team finished second in the league, one game behind Santa Ynez. Making all-league were John Hanson, Paul Torres, and lohn McCarthy. Once again, Santa Clara's B basketball team enioyed a win- ning season. Equalling the varsity's win streak of twenty-two con- secutive league games, the B's showed the potential of great team play. All-league selections were Phil Kelley, Armando Ochoa and Tom Gill. Tom finished the season playing for the varsity. For the first time, the B's defeated 0xnard's B team. All of the team played great ball in securing the victory. With those who will be playing B basketball for another sea- son, along with many C players coming up, we may look lor- ward to another championship team.
