Ityc focUlZtKl Some of the most loyal Saints here in Santa Ana High School are not enrolled as students, these Saints arrive at school very early in the morning in order that they may have our buildings and campus in order by the time we arrive. They are loyal in many ways. Their varied duties range from picking up waste paper and keeping the halls in order to polishing desks and regulating heat in classrooms throughout the school. Credit for the outstanding beauty of the campus belongs to the gardeners who work throughout the year to provide a wealth of seasonal flowers. that which can be done today. First row: E. Cowan, S. O ccc Secwfaniet Education is a business as complicated as any in the world today. While the students are mainly concerned with assignments and grades, others must attend to the permanent records, financial transactions, textbooks, and hundreds of daily requests for information and service from students, alumni, faculty, and the general public. The office secretaries of Santa Ana high school, because of their efficiency, their helpfulness, and their amiability, keep the business of learning running smoothly throughout the year. Some arc born to lead; others to folio tv. Presidents Henry Aguilera Herschel Musiclc Student idmiui tnation The first semester student administration was headed by President Henry Aguilera. The sale of Student Body Tickets began this semester, followed later by the annual Color Day with its traditional Kangaroo Court. At the close of the semester, a football banquet was held. The second semester had Herschel Musick as Student Body President. One of the many affairs during the second semester was the Student Body Picnic. The semester ended with a spring sports banquet, which paid honor to Saints participating in spring sports. The Board of Control has general supervision of all student body activities. It sponsors many important affairs during the year, such as Color Day, the Student Body Picnic, pep assemblies, and promotion of the annual sale of the Student Body Ticket. One of the essential bodies in maintaining school order is the Student Relations Committee. Consisting of twelve seniors, ten juniors and eight sophomores, the committee was directed by Diana Charlton the firs1 semester, and Jimmy Crowe the second semester. This group has many activities, but the main project is to obtain better relationship among students. The duty of the Self-Government Committee is the handling of cases referred to it by the Student Relations Committee. 18
