Mrs. Audrey Culver, an excellent instruc- tor, teaches sophomore English. She is a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, where she received an A.B. degree. Mrs. Culver serves as sponsor of the soph- omore class. Mrs. Aulta Lee Corbett is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she received an A.B. with a major in English. She enjoys teaching senior English because there is no discipline problem with seniors. She also serves as sponsor of the “Talis- man” and “Rebel Review.” Now teaching junior English, Mrs. Rob- bie Davis seems to enjoy her work. She realizes the great need for people, both professional and otherwise, to learn the correct use and appreciation of the English language. She attended Howard College and Trevecca Nazarene College in Nash- ville, Tennessee, where she received a B.A. degree with a major in English. She is now working on her Master of Arts degree at Auburn.

 The senior sponsor. Miss Nelle Martin, is loved by all. A graduate of Howard College where she received an A.B. degree, she teaches American history. Miss Martin is the sponsor of the Emma Sansom chapter of the National Honor Society. Miss Lera Grady received an A.B. degree from Judson College and an M.A. degree from the University of Washington. She teaches civics and is sponsor of the Ninth Grade club. Each year she helps the fresh- man class with their homecoming float. Even though she is a graduate of one of our biggest rivals, Gadsden High School, Miss Sarah Robinson is loved by all the students at Emma Sansom. Her smile al- ways greets those who enter her civics and American history classes. She has a B.S. degree, with a major in history, from Jacksonville State College.

As librarian at Emma Sansom, Mrs. Laura Inzer aids many students each day in finding references from the numerous books in our library. She also teaches library science. She is a graduate of Van- derbilt University where she received an A.B. degree in English and library science. Besides her work at Emma Sansom, Mrs. Inzer is librarian at the University Center. She has set up a wonderful library there. Miss Francis Cantrell attended Snead College. Howard College and the University of Alabama. She now teaches freshman English. This is Miss Cantrell’s first year at Sansom, but she is already very popular with the students, especially the freshmen. A former graduate of Emma Sansom, Miss Shirley Thompson received her B.S. degree in education from the University of Alabama. Realizing the great need for teachers, she has chosen a career in the field of education. Miss Thompson teaches freshman English and dramatics. = = = = t r=
