Ecology and Beautification . . . Concern, involvement, improvement—these are the words that characterize our Student Council. Since its founding in the fall of 1967, it has steadily increased its power and influence within the student body. The Council has done much to improve the total outlook of the school through special days and assemblies, modern-minded projects, and active participation and contact at school functions. Because they truly represent the principle our nation was founded upon—representative democracy—we, the members of the Golden Warrior staff, wish to dedicate the 1972 annual to the joint Sanger High School—Junior High Student Council. Sanger High is a time . . . and a time for spirit . . . o A time to teach, and a time to be taught . . . Superi ntendent’s Message To the Student Body of Sanger Schools, I want to congratulate everyone of you on the many achievements. Your attitude and hard work has made this year an outstanding school year. I want to leave this thought with you, and especially to the senior class. It is a quote from the Supervisory News Note, Florida State U. “I’d rather he a Could Be If 1 could not be an Are; For a Could Be is a May Be, With a chance of touching par. I’d rather be a Has Been Than a Might Have Been, by far For a Might Have Been has never been, But a Has was once an Are.” Herbert Arledge, Superintendent B.S.-T.W.C. M.S.-N.T.S.U. Board of Trustees L. to It. Standing—Jr. Davis, Tommy Kincaid, Herbert Arledge, Supt., James Lyons, Vic Cole. Jesse Sons. Seated—Neal Odom, Carl Sadau. Principal’s Message My congratulations to the 1972 annual staff for the outstanding work done in developing this yearbook to so aptly tell the story of our school life. These memories will be great ones, and in years to come, the memories of friends, warm ones. Best wishes to our departing seniors, and to the returning students that carry on the loyalties and traditions that are Sanger High School. You have the talents and abilities for truly great things. We will follow each of your lives with keen interest and rejoice with you in each accomplishment.
