19.71 Wie W2 There was a feeling of festivity and excitement in the air of Sanders School Wait just a minute, did I say school9 It was a carnival midway complete with funhouse, refreshment stands and booths of chance The most popular booth by far with the younger set was the fish pond The bingo stand held the attraction of adults The fun house pTOV1ded laughs and scares for every one untll it closed Oh, and did you see all those lusclous cakes at the cake walk? I tried it a couple times but usually some one neyt to me won The amateur show faithfully performed its three shows although the performers kept gettlng lost The great hlt of the show was Jeff Lauderdale, the singing sheriff Doesn't his voice send you9 Of course the main event was the crowning of the king and queen The march was heralded by the sound of trufpets It was pretty as King Paul Adair led his Queen Janitolene 'hit fleld down the aisle to their throne followed by all the other attendants The girls were all very pretty and the boys very handsome All were awarded prizes and the key to the carnival was presented to the king and queen Before the evening was over, my nose let me straight to the home ec room for some good ole American hot dogs and pop Mmmunh' what could be better9 All in all lt was a very successful carnlval At the end of it I was tired and glad to hit the trail for home.
