THE 1964 HARVESTER Published by The Senior Class Table of Contents Introduction 1 Dedication 4 Administration 5 Seniors 15 Classes 31 Junior High 39 Elementary 45 Organizations 55 Athletics 67 Activities 75 Advertisements 81 Dedication The Senior Class of 1964 would like to dedicate the 1964 Harvester to two people who are themselves dedicated. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson for all their assistance throughout our last two years of school, also for their loyalty as teachers to the school, student body, and community, and for their interest in us and our future. Administration Board of Education ■i__-_- - L r L 5 -£i f t- j A L P v ' J Jj c _ z— — _ - j jfi P B R V. McMunn, R. McGregor, C. Scharer, ' R. Williams, R. Jackson, T. Clement, H. Willett. Not Pictured: E. DeLano. The School Board, although it is not seen by the students in every- day school life, is the guiding force by which our school functions. With the welfare of the school and student body in mind, the Board employs able administrators and staff and provides an academic and extracurricular program. To the Seniors of 1964: It has been my good fortune to become acquainted with members of the Sand Creek Class of 1964. I have found each of you to be a fine person with considerable potential. As you go your separate ways, please remember that all of us are interested in your future and will as- sist in any way that we can. Personally, I wish to sin- cerely thank you for your friendliness and inspiration. May each of you experience a rich and rewarding life. You will not be measured by the wealth that you ac- cumulate, but by the good that you do. —Robert Jackson, Superintendent Robert Jackson, Superintendent Administration Ronald Lahman, Principal To the graduates of 1964: A ceremony will change you from a student to a graduate and an alumnus of your school. We all know, however, that a transition such as this was not accom- plished by a ceremony alone. It has taken many years of hard work to make this day possible The goals that you work for in the future will also require much effort on your part. Your high school will always welcome the opportunity to be of further help to you. I want to wish you the best in your undertakings, wherever they may take you. — Ronald Lahman, Principal CHARLENE BRAGG French RICHARD BUTLER Physical Science MERRIE CHRIST MA Business Educat LAMBERT CONDON Math JAMES CURTIS Social Studies ROBERT DEKEN Business Education JOAN FARLEY Chorus, Home Economics RICHARD FARLEY Music Education DONALD HARLAN Social Studies ROBERT HORNER Natural Science JOHN KARRAS Social Studies KENNETH MITCHELL- Vocational Agriculture MARION MORLOCK Business Education JESSE O ' BRIEN English DALE OTTO Industrial Arts SUE POTTER Physical Education, Librarian RENA RICH Math LEONARD SCHUNEMAN Physical Education, Government JEAN SLEEKER American History, Math, English ERIC SULLIVAN English ELIZABETH THOMPSON Home Economics LARRY THOMPSON U.S. History, Government, Physi- cal Ed.
