Bottom Ron'-Betty Bartholow, Girls' . Viee'President: Ruth Ruffino, Secretary: Sandra Tibbott, Secretary: Ruth Ruffino, Girls' Vice-President. FALL The freshman class of this year has been a very active organiration. A Freshman Council was elected, consisting of two representatives from each Democracy Nine Class, to draw up a conf stitution. The Social Committee, headed by the girls' vice-president, planned to give parties: while the Roundup Committee, formed and headed by the boys' vice-president, was to provide entertainment for the freshmen when the other clubs were having their meetings. The traditional freshman paper. The Green Pea. was again organized with Bill Reece filling the joh of editor. 'There were several WCdI1CSdLlj' roundups and one big, successful noon dance, followed hy the clothing drive for Europe. The freshmen challenged the rest of the classes. The contest was a long. hard fight, but having won, the freshmen went out and scoured the town for clothes. To end the fall semester, a hig party was given. The turnout was very large and the party was really enjoyable. ' SPRING The spring officers have carried out some of their plans, although many of their plans are still in the planning stage. The Roundup Committee had its first class roundup at the showing of the ski picture in the High Sierra by Mr. Fred Hines. The committee has a variety of future roundups planned to provide entertainment every VVednesday for the rest of the year. The Social Committee is planning a noon dance to he held in the near future and a really hig party before the year is over. As a whole, the freshmen have been very active, hoth in their classes and in other activities throughout the year, proving themselves to be ia good class and worthy of San Rafael High School. ln contrast to the other classes having hut one advisor, this class has had four to steer them through their very successful first year of high school with Mr. Paterson, head advisorg Miss New- comer.
