More Than likely you were mosT impressed by The TacT ThaT while each oT us worked To keep our FR AT TirsT, Trosh, because you had never had a parT in such a big producTion, you were a liTTle uncerTain and nervous, buT as The ploT became more involved, you began To live The parT and you losT ThaT uneasy Teeling. The TirsT evenT in The new play was a Tun nighT To help you geT acquainTed wiTh each oTher. Vollyball, a TalenT show and a dance were included on The program. BeTore you could plan and parTici- paTe in This specTacular evenT you had To be shown how a big producTion such as This works and iusT where you TiT inTo iT. Your very able TirsT semesTer oTTicers, John Ireland, Ann SheTTield and RuTh SuTh- erland, planned To do This by holding a Treshman assembly. The A.B.S., A.G.S. and G.A.C. presidenTs Told you abouT some oT The acTiviTies and evenTs you could parTicipaTe in. Also The school pep band and 0 SOP Sophs, you wanTed To sTarT The second acT oT our play wiTh a grand opening. For This your TirsT semesTer oTTicers, Jim Nelson, PaT Curley and Becky WhiTTle- sey, planned a soph Tun nighT wiTh all sorTs oT games and enTerTainmenT plus a dance aTTerward. WiTh The grand opening behind you, you wenT ahead To be- come one oT The mosT acTive classes in The school. The main evenT in your TirsT semesTer was a TalenT show Tor an all-school assembly! This was a Tremen- dous success and was said by some To have been beTTer Than any oTher school TalenT show This yearl Some oT The greaT acTs which earned This praise class in The spoTlighT as much as possible we all worked TogeTher because we knew ThaT in a play each parT is viTally imporTanT To The success oT The whole. l.eT's review The TirsT Three acTs oT our play and recall iusT whaT we have done in working Toward The sTardom oT our senior year. The new Tumbling Team Tormed iusT This year perTormed Tor you. This year Tor The TirsT Time you elecTed a council member who aTTended The execuTive council meeTings. This made your parT in The play even more imporTanT. Your second semesTer oTTicers, Barry lv1cCarron, ScoTT Dan- ielson and Karen Greve, planned an evenTTul semes- Ter Tor you including being in charge oT The sponge Throw booTh aT The Carnival. This ended your TirsT acT and you look back wiTh a Teeling oT superioriTy as you realize ThaT you are Through wiTh being The undersTudy and can sTarT ThaT climb up The ladder inTo The spoTlighT! HS were: a Trio consisTing oT a piano, drums and an accordion: a Tew piano solos: PaT Allan on The Tiddle, and as a grand Tinale, a singing quarTeTTe. This was noT all. Your second semesTer oTTicers, Dick Dumke, Jack Finney and Ann Bercaw, planned a sophomore hop. The TirsT To be held in a long while. l.aTer on you chose The Cake Walk Tor your booTh in The Carnival. l-laving such a successTul year behind you, you look Torward wiTh conTidence To The exciTemenT and Thrills oT The nexT Two acTs oT The play when you will be-upperclassmenl JUNIORS As upperclassmen your parTs in The play became more and more imporTanT. FreguenTly you looked up and Tound ThaT The spoTlighT was on you. You are The leaders! Your TirsT presidenT, JaneT Cordes, along wiTh The oThers oTTicers, Allan Russell and Peggy l-lol- man, puT TorTh a valianT eTTorT and succeeded in geT- Ting larger parTicipaTion Than many a class preceding yours. You sTarTed oTT wiTh a bang by having a Tun nighf including volleyball, ping-pong and a TalenT show wiTh Tom Edwards and Mr. Dunn as M.C.'s. To add a liTTle varieTy you also held Tolk dancing Tor The TirsT Time. A second Tun nighT was planned by your second semesTer oTTicers, Guy Lee, Gino Della Libera and Diana Nicholson, who added swimming To The program. Also you held a junior skaTe and ran The hoTdogs-and-coTTee booTh in The Carnival. The climax To The Third acT was oT course The annual junior prom! To provide a liTTle romance which is essenTial To mosT any play, you chose The romanTic name Blue lvlisT Tor your prom. The soTT music oT Elmer VincenT added To The Theme oT your dance. As The curTain comes down on The Third acT you realize wiTh amaze- menT ThaT you will no longer be a small parT oT a Tremendous producTion. NexT year your parT will be mosT imporTanT.
