8- Senior Class Play Time Out for Ginger, a comedy by Ronald Alexander, under the direction of Mr. Richard Yeo, was presented on November 22 and 23 by two outstanding casts of seniors. The play centered on Ginger, the 14 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Carol. As a strong believer in the equality of the sexes, Ginger caused a stir in the Carol house- hold by insisting on competing against boys in athletics. When she beat Eddie Davis, her sis- ter Joan's boy friend and a much honored ath- lete, in a foot race, Ginger made her sisters even more indignant. The real bombshell came, how- ever, when she tried out for the high school football team and made the second string. Her sisters, Joan and Jeanne, and the other iunior and senior girls decided to boycott all the football games. Nevertheless, Lizzie, the Carol's maid, and Mr. Carol attended every game and practice. The play was well received by a large audience each night. Helping to make the play a success were the members of the technical crews under the direction of the following chairmen: Fred Schack, sets and lights, Keiko Iwao, costumes and make-up, Sue Bromley, props. Joyce Benson ably assisted as rehearsal secretary. Student chair- men were Earlene Boyce and Linda Lindwall. f x 1 p TQ, KN' iii ff T5 Q. 'xx'ff s.s t
