Semen hlston Our sponsors, Mr. Everingham, Mr. Caddick, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Gundred, and Mr. Borad, and our counselors, Mr. Able and Mr. Phillips, gave us fhe help and encouragemen+ we needed +hroughou+ our fhree years a+ San Leandro High. Through +heir coopera+ion and undersfanding, +hey have made i+ possible 'For us +o hold many dances and money-making ac+ivi+ies +o suppor+ our class. Because of fheir advice and encouragement we, +I-le graduafing class of I967, +hank fhem. Our Sophomore class sponsored our firs+ dance on January I5. The dance, Win+er Wonderland, was enioyed by all who aHended. The Sophomore presiden+ in +he fall was Chuck Scoble and in 'Phe spring Dave Shibafa. In our Junior year, Marv Good was elecled as our Class Presidenf bofh semeslers. This year was highligh+ed by 'lhe successful Junior Prom, Midspring Madness, under +he chairmanship of Dee Allphin. In ihe fall of I966 we found ourselves +he High and Migh+y Seniors! As Seniors, we enjoyed ihe privilege of +he Senior Table, +he Senior Bench, and fhe Senior Lawn. The Senior play, The Laissez-Faire Affair, was wri'H'en by Dee Allphin and Judy Medeiros and was direc+ed by Pal' Kennedy. An evening fo remember was The Senior Ball, The Land of Never-More, which was chairmaned by Dee Allphin. The A'f+er-fhe-Ball par+y was a+ +he Blue Dolphin in 'rhe San Leandro Marina. The fradifional Senior Picnic began our memorable Senior Week, which is always a week of fun and hecfic ac- +ivi+y for our Seniors. Plans for +he Affer Graduafion parfy wen? on simulfaneously wi+h rehearsals for fhe Com- mencement +he las+ for Miss Jansen. Wirh mixed emofions we Seniors, robed in blue and whi+e, lis+ened +0 +he s+rains of Pomp and Circums1'ance as we began fhe 'Final and mos'I' exci-ling even+ of 'lhe year-our graducrrion.
