2' N..aa A modern high school is many things . . . it is at curious mixture and a picture in contrasts. It is af place where the modern student spends three years fitting into a group made up of so many dissimilar types as to confuse the outsider and frighten the newcomer. But, to the student, the school is his world and his home away from home. On these pages we see a reflection of a small segment of the larger area of study at San Leandro. In succeed- ing pages we see primarily the other face of the school, less important, perhaps, than the disciplines of the classroom, but nonetheless a reflec- tion of the function of the school annual.
