He maketh me to lte down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters: He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake Yea. though I walk through the valley oi the shadow of death. I will tear no evil: For Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me: Thou preparest a table before me in the presence oi mine enemies, Thou anotntest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. 0 For helping us in every way possible, for having given gener- ously of your time and effort to guide us over difficulties, for giving helpful counsel in selecting our high school course and also. a iob or college, and for making our high school years more pleasant. we. the staff of the 1954 edition of the Anchors Aweigh. gratefully dedicate this book to the counselors of the senior classes of 1954. Such clubs as the Girls' League and the Key Club perform services for the school. For example, the Girls' League makes decorations for the faculty at Christmas time, while the Key Club recently made safety checks on students' cars. There are some organizations whose members must meet special requirements and thereiore, are considered honorary. Such organizations are California Scholarship Federation, National Quill and Scroll, National Thespians, and the Block S Society. All clubs are important not only because they serve to balance the scholastic curriculum. but also develop social contacts, leadership, and spirit. In other words, clubs go hand in hand with classes to prepare the student of today to be the fine adult citizen of tomorrow. I-'.B.I..A.
