Student Council Guardian of the student body is a phrase appropriately desig- nating the function of the Student Council. Elected by the As- sociated Students each Spring for a one-year term, the members, known as governors, are given the responsibility of annually ap- propriating S100,000 to be used in promoting activities of campus clubs and organizations. The council also acts as a governing body in deciding what student policies are to be followed, taking definite action on campus issues, and, finally, in keeping the all-important budget out of the red.
