At 1508, the SAN JOSE's two helicopters, piloted by LCDR H. Frankenfield and LT S. Moore, arrived at the scene of a severly-listing Kuwaite cargo vessel. Vlhthin minutes all 21 crewmembers were hoisted aboard the helicopters and returned safely to the Magnifi- cent Seven. Only two days before this incident, one of the helicopters saved a sailor from drowning after falling overboard from his ship.
