CHEERLEADERS The cheerleaders, under the guidance of Miss Scott, their advisor, have made the sports events of San Jacinto ring with school spirit. On cheerleader election day the halls of San Jac are plastered with cards and posters of the hopefuls asking for votes. The candidates give out lolli- pops and bubble guin with hopes that they won ' t be forgotten at voting time. To become a candidate for cheerleader a student must have a C average and G in conduct. Along with good grades, the cheerleaders must be energetic, strong-lunged, and have endurance to be able to stand up under the long hours of practice and participation in all the pep rallies and sports events. The next time you are at the game when the brown and gold appears, let out a cheer and give San Jacinto ' s well-deserving cheerleaders a boost.
