I have dedicated a great deal of my high school daygp wards producing what you see as your high school year- book. Being able to produce this annual was not only due to dedication on my part, but that of many unnamed con- tributors also. Without my close friend. Heather Hellman, I would not have been able to put together such a great edition of the Summit. Heather ' s work with me went far beyond the call of duty, and I want her to know how much I have appreciated all her enthusiasm and ideas. m The other persons in need of commendation are as follows: Mr. Carl Palmgren, f rafl the guidance, the good times, and for being a friend; Mr. Ralph Crowell and associates, for this year ' s pictures; N4s. Jane Parmer, our yearbook com- pany representative, for all your help; Mr. Dan King, for his compassion and understanding; the advertisers, spon- sors, and patrons, for their financial support, without which there could be no annual; the annual staff section editors and my assistant editor, Susan Johnson, whom I have goadedfinto doing their best; to the certain exceptional staff members (They know who they are), an extra, well deserv whanks for everything — your enthusiasm, dedication, -fnr sticking in there, and especially for putting up with thai unreasonable, moody, (yet likable) editor -»me; a cer- tain Oracle editor, Karen Bradley, for all her very much appreciated support; last, but most certainly not least, the staff photographers — Jim Vaughn, Niki Stathis, Mike Grave jBti Mr. Rosales, for all their extra effort. The only ones left to thank are the staff and student body of San Gorgonio for their participation in anSi coopera- tion with the 1978-79 Summit and its staff. Without your support the annual could not have turned oral so great. I hope that you feel that this annual is as good as I know it is. I also hope that the annual has captured the Spirit an(i;the year at San Gorgonio — the true measure of a good annual. SUMMIT EDITOR ' 79 368 THE END
