Cherries Someone once told me in the strictest confidence that Life was like a cherry, that there is a good, sweet covering around the morose and devastating pit. Now I wondered what you would do when you were done with the cherry and were left with just the awful pit in yo ur mouth. In my ignorance could I not see that instead of one cherry, Life is many cherries and so she reassured me that you could simply spit out the pit and reach for another and different cherry. This all seemed very logical, except why bother with the cherries at all when you are always faced with the pit anyway, no matter what. But there are no pitted cherries. Gene Pensiero 73 134
