Aristocrats ln February, 1955, San Fernando High was honored with the arrival of 300 dynamic, intelligent, unique, invincible B-lOs, who were only slightly dazzled by the giants who called themselves seniors. lt was apparent from the start that the feeling was at least mutual, as a matter of fact these monsters didn't even appear to be aware of our presence. Not letting this seeming indifference discourage us, we elected Shirley Saunders B-lO class president and shared a successful sports night with the AlOs. Don Wiggins then took over the reins and we had an enioyable A-lO semester knowing that we wouldn't be ignored much longer. ln February, 1956, with Nancy Sullivan in the executive position, a miraculous event took place, we were no longer ignored, but accepted, as B-lls we were becoming a part of San Fernando. With Jim Desherow as A-ll class prexy, we co-sponsored the Christmas Dance, Winter Fantasy, with the B-lls and, most impor- tant, chose colors of mission blue and white and our class name. ln February, l957, led again by Nancy Sullivan, the small and mighty Aristocrats marched into their first assembly as seniors. To celebrate this trumphant occasion the blue-clad senior Bs invaded Hollywood. When we had finished there, Ocean Park became the next victim. Then, to satisfy our appetites, Mike's Pizza in Panorama City was our next stop after which we wound up the evening with a street dance. A return trip to Ocean Park, beach parties, and most significant, the presentation of the Utopian Prom, A Mid- summer Night's Dream, were all a part of our B-l 2 semester. And now the Aristocrats and the Aristocrats only are excused. With these words we became the Senior Aye class at San Fernando. This was to be our last semester, a semester of countless friendly get togethers. ln our final election we chose the very capable Roger Best as A-12 class president. With his leadership we have had parties in the social hall, at the snow, at Disneyland, a swim party at Penny Atwood's, a Halloween party at Nancy Sullivan's, and who won't find it hard to forget those friendly get togethers on the Senior glade at lunch with their grass fights and see-sawing. The Senior Prom, Rhapsody ln Blue, presented to the Aristo- crats by the B-i2 class was highlighted by the selection of Prom Queen Ann Fisher with her princesses Pat Donnelly and Judy Green. Our Senior supper and play Cradle Song, Senior chapel with its theme The World In Our Hands followed by Senior tea and Aloha Dance, Blue Aloha, we will cherish in our memories. ln the past three years, while singing our Alma Mater, we have pledged A never failing loyalty. This we cannot forget even tonight as we march down the auditorium aisle, alumni of San Fernando High. ARISTOCRATS-that's us. Roger Best, President
