Imperial Class Nl mories Graduates relive old pleasures on eve of departure lt was a day in February, 1954, that we, as B-'lO's set foot in San Fernando High School. To get off on the right foot, we elected Lorraine Echevarria as our leader. In the A-T0 we chose our chief cook and bottle washer, Richard Mathias, who made sure our A-'IO semester didn't go by without a successful B-T0-A-T0 sports night. Then, all of a sudden, we weren't tenth graders any more, we were B-ll's. ln this chapter of our high school career, Richard Mathias was again our successful leader. We enjoyed several activities, including a dance and a great snow party. With Marie Potts as our president in the A-ll, we selected our name and colors, winding up with the greatest name of lmperials and the greatest colors of mint green and black. That full and enjoyable semester concluded with another snow party. Then the day came, we entered the gym all doiled up in our beautiful mint green sweaters and took our place as B-l2's, led by Bob Allen. Hollywood was the spot we picked to celebrate our new found position in life, Other activities held that semester were a party at Alice James' house, a picnic at Griffith Park, a class party at Margie Myronis house, and a dance in the Social Hall. Our big highlight of the semester was the presentation of the Senior Prom, Capri in May, in honor of the Capris of S'56. September T7 came at last after a long summer vacation, to make us officially Senior Ayes in our final semester. We had finally reached our goal as Big Wheels. To keep the wheels rolling, Dave Erwin was elected president. Parties in the Social hall, parties in the senior problems classes, parties everywhere, even a party given by the P.T.A. for achiev- ing 20O per cent in the membership drive. These were among the activities that started off our senior semester. To end T956 we had a Christmas party that topped all other parties. Fun and food were had by all, Then on January A, 1957, our Senior Prom, Imperial Paradise, was presented by the Utopians, class of S'57. Penny Vasquez was chosen queen with Delores Pinkston and Judy Imai as princesses, The next events that took place were our Senior Supper, Senior Play, our Senior Day, Chapel, and our Senior Tea. These we will never forget. But now our last chapter comes to a close. lt is time for us, as lmperials, to say farewell to our high school days. The walk up the aisle ofthe auditorium at graduation will be our last time to participate os members of San Fernando High School. But our memories will always dwell on these days and we will be remembered as the small but mighty lmperials. This, lmperials of W'57, was OUR life.efMollie Argabright. lf'- 0 L
