K i.. -hi- Message for Yearbook lt is a privilege to write a message to you seniors who form the Class of I958. Less than three out of four of you ore graduating from the original number of sophomores that entered in the fall of 1955. During these three years there have been numerous accomplishments and some changes at San Diego High School, but you have been covoperative in solv- ing problems and in meeting emergencies and have contributed strongly to our suc- cesses. Our teachers think that this year, with you as seniors, has been an improved interest in academic study and a somewhat better attitude in general. We have had more than our share of outstanding achievements and victories in various oc- tivities and competitions. You have been fortunate in having two strong Senior Cabinets with a sincere desire to make your final year here a memorable one. At the same time the An- nual Staff has been working diligently to rnoke this Gray Castle the success that it is. As graduation time nears we are particularly conscious of friendships gain- ed onthe Hill. We hope that these will be continued and that you will have the opportunity to visit us from time to time. We do feel that by keeping in touch with you and knowing of your successes and problems, we can do an even better job of teaching in the yeors ahead, Lawrence W. Carr, Jr. Principal
