Praise Him with the sound ofthe trumpet . . . Praise Him with the stringed instruments . . . Praise Him upon the loud cymbals . . ." Psalm 150 To Mr. Victor Johnson, who has made the words of this psalm a part of his life's creed, and who has dedicated his time and effort for many years to the musical and moral training of young minds, this book is lovingly inscribed. 1071 We as Christian young people should not live in the past. This is not God's plan. There are many examples in the world today of people who let the mistakes of yesterday make their lives miserable and unhappy. For the Christian young person, then, these things should be in the past and gone forever. It is not God's plan for any to be burdened with the sorrows and guilt of yesterday rising up to haunt them. He has provided a better plan. One of the greatest helps to forgetting the past is accepting it as God's will and plan for us. "All things work together for good to them that love God." Romans 8 :28. It seems hard to believe always that God means just what he says, but He promises us that when He forgives sin He remembers it no more. May the Lord abundantly bless each of you as you serve Him from day to day, and look only to the future as He leads. Marion J. Denman, Principal ,A3-1" Zaculfy and Administration -? WJ - ,.. ar. This is why the field of teaching is so rewarding-as the teacher sees progress being made in the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people he can thank God for having had a part in the building of those lives. This is why San Diego Union Academy exists-not only to impart knowledge, but to train young people how to use knowledge for the betterment of mankind and for the development of their own characters.
