THE'ARTS OFLIVING LIVING EACH DAY Each day is a lifetime in miniature. Anyone can rise above fear for a day and meet each situation with courage. COURT ESY It Is the wisdom to know that we should love before we think and think before we act. It is appreciating what others do for us and letting them know it. HOP E Hope comes first, life follows. Hope gives power to life. Hope is man's shield and buckler against defeat. HUM I LITY The art of humility begins with a recognition of our dependence on others and an appreciation of God's gift of life. Because man knows so little about so much he becomes teachable, open-minded and flexible. He never stops growing. TO L ER ANC E Tolerance towers above differences. It is bigger than race, color, creed, or politics. COMMON SENSE , Common sense I'ecognizes the utter senselessness of wat, the irrationality of using death, suffering and destruction as a way of settling disputes. JOY lt' Is a blend of laughter and tears. Often it is the deep' joy that comes to you through the mist of the years as you recall tender memoties of' joyous days gone by. Joy is the flag you fly when the Prince of Peace is in residence within your heart. EDUCATION The art of education' Is to continue to glow as long as you live. Grow a larger concept of education. Every moment brings its lesson. Evety person is a teacher. Every place' Is a schooII-ooIn. Grow' In new directions. Do not stagnate' In the backwash of outwom tradition. Respectthe and learn its lessons, then be alive to inquiry and change. Explore new areas and ideas. A Crow! Man is never' finished. Man never arrives, Education never stops.
