M: . ;u-s-x.mm.. ecu. W-rsumm-emam : ',A euMHWMHm-m- Senior GAA girls show pride in their class of '71 The purpose of the Girl's Athletic Association is to further the interest in ath- letics and recreation for girls. Also to promote a higher physical efficiency among the girls at San Clemente High School, stated Sheryl Jones, the President of the G.A.A. Sponsored by Mrs. Cardello, Miss Hanson and Mrs. Lund, the club sponsored the Homecoming Dance and served at the Sports Awards Banquet. The 50 mile club was a new innovation. It gaveea chance to girls to run 50 miles in 50 days, not to mention the opportunity to keep fit and have fun while doing so. G.A.A. is a very active club on campus, and is one in which the giris of the school have an opportunity to get involved in many activities. They also have a chance to become very involved in sports, some of which are competitive. The girls in G.A.A. work together. They learn to face responsibility. And they gain something of value to their lives, announced Sheryl. Ranking members were Sheryl Jones, president; Claudia Vance, vice president; Peggy Toal, secretary; Vicky Woodard, treasurer; Peggy Finn and Darlene Meyers, sports managers; Jodee Duesk, historian; Nancy Russell, senior representative; Sue Knock, junior representative; Lisa Vance, sophomore represenative; and Pam Herbereck, freshman representative. y IrrwmxATIESJIRT e Hm x .... e ,a
