Comprised of 23 members and advised by Mr. Hubbert, the club's main activity was the con- struction of over 400 Easter baskets. These baskets were presented to patients in many hospitals. Their activities, such as helium balloon selling, were sponsored in order to acquire the money to buy a hospital bed. Even though just one bed, every bed leaves room for another patient and the members of the club thought that a good work and a purchase worthwhile. 1 I think its a great club. More people should get into it, because the members in it now are really happy and enjoy the work, stated club president, Doug Gilmore.

As any one can see a day filled with law making and decisions can take its toll. The great responsibility of carrying forward a complex intitution of San Clemente High's stature sometimes drives the lawmakers to the wall. As can be seen in the above picture, a productive day has just finished. The council has just finished deciding whether to have a picture taken or not. They are preparing for the picture.
