What could be considered the largest and most influential club on campus, the Girl's League sponsored a total of twelve activities in the school year 1970-71. The Orientation Assembly, Big Sister-Little Sister Banquet, a dance after a football game, Homecom- ing, and Secret Valentine were just to name a few. But the biggest and most important was the Christmas Formal, one of the major successes of the year. The main purpose of the Girl's League is to promote womenhood in girls by sponsoring various ac- tivities with the girl's fathers, mothers and little sisters. stated Dina Campbell, the president. Advised by Mrs. Veeh and Mrs. Gariepy, there were 24 active members on the cabinet, but all the girls in the school are considered members. The active members were, Dina Campbell, president; Vicki Rhoads, vice president; Sue Currey, sec- retary; Katie Stamp, treasurer; Cindy Hillery, publicity chairman; Shauna Devenberg, historian; Margie Riley, senior representative; Carol Bortfield, junior representative; Lori Brown, sophomore represent- ative; and KellyDowling, freshman representative.
