There is a great history and culture supporting the Soviet Union, and we plan to bring it to the surface. stated Jim Hess, the president of the Russian Club, and language enthusiast. A camping trip, attendance at a performance by the Bolshoi Ballet, a viewing of several movies, and Russian oriented dinners were some of the activities that this year's Russian club took part in. I was startled by the number of students who were interested in the culture of the Soviet Union, explained Jim Hess. When asked about the reason for this enthusiastic interest Jim rationalized, I suppose that we hear so much about the Soviet Union that it is natural to be currious about what we are taught so little about. The VIPs of the club were Jim Hess, president; John Filipoff, vice president; Susan Pierce, Secretary; and Bill Gotham, treasurer; and 3K. 19
