Jeff Maughan , the Freshman Class president was aware of this as well as anyone in the class. He realized as others did that their are growing pains to being a freshman. We are here to organ- ize and to prepare for the next three years and we want to make this class the best class this school has ever seen. Those were the goals of the class. If they will hold true to their ideals remains to be seen. If their first year is any indication of the years to follow, they will succeed. The freshmen involved themselves in many activities, originating and sponsoring and generating excitement. They held dances, fund raising sales and showed their spirit at the rallies and games. We're ready to learn, one freshman stated. This statement was made in reference to the Jay Wentz Get Involved activities. Through them the freshmen had an opportunity to see how upper classmen get things done. As with all beginnings, the freshmen had to feel their way to success. Going into their sophomore year, they are pre- pared to take part in molding the campus to suit their fellow students. They are also ready to assume their responsibili- ties as members of their high school community. 74 is looking forward. 2.... Meham .a A Wig ? r- nexff
