President Vice President Secretary Clark Jarret Don Steffenson Mary Sheppard Juniors Class of Treasurer Jody Tyson Led by Clark Jarrett, the class of 72 was one of the most active and successful junior classes ever to at- tend San Clemente High School. According to Clark, The one key person to the success of the class of 72 was Mary Shepard, the secretary. The big event, of course, was the junior-senior dance. This was the one activity that took the most time and effort of the juniors, but they still had time for candy selling, and various other activities. Junior classofficerstakeabreak from their busyschedules. A junior sponsored dance after a football game, which netted about $240, was so exciting that they were forced to refuse admission due to the capacity crowd. The Powder Puff Game, the first game of its sort, was such a huge success that it will probably stand as a tradition in years to come. That football contest between the senior girls and junior girls netted ap- proximately $320. Incidently, the junior girls won. The junior class cabinet consisted of Clark Jarret, president; Don Steffenson, vice president; Jody Tyson, treasurer; and Mary Shepard, secretary. Probably the whole junior class in the year of 71 could be summed up with this statement by Clark JarrettWThe class of 72 has the spirit.
