BACK ROW - Clark Jarret, Torn Nichols, Dick Anderson, Martin Baker, Ralph Braun, Bill Madden, Randy Paulson. FRONT ROW - Brian Davis, Bill Theiralt, Dave Buck, Tony Aerola, Armador Rozales, Bob Provost ? Shall we dance all night? Wrestling San Clemente's varsity wrestling team had its finest season this year. Coach Phillip's crew put in fine performances in all weight divisions. Some of the leaders in these cate- gories were Joe Loge O36 lst, Clark Jarret 041 lst, Dick Anderson 057 lst, Ralph Braun U78 lst Bill Madden 089 lst and Big John Romero f210 lst. This year's team had some colorful nick- names. Clark Jarret was referred to as little Bruiser and Joe Lopez was the Human Muscle . San Clemente's Dick Anderson, who fin- ished his fourth year of wrestling, went along with Ralph Braun to the CIF finals. Both faired well. The individual records were good. Ralph Braun, however, won the greatest number of matches. Clark Jarret was known as the scrappiest on the team. And John Romero won every match this year by using his favor- ite hold, the cradle hold . Bill Madden, who played first string center during the football season, set a record by pinning his opponent in the first 20 seconds of the first round. The team distinguished itself and had a very good year.

Swim Team Has Great Season Varsity Coach Cummings was very proud of the youngest Triton team ever. The team tied for second place in the Crestview league champion- ships. It also chalked up an outstanding 3-1055, 18-win record. And all this was accomplished with the help of only two seniors. The outstanding underclassmen were Duncan Wilson, Mark McCartan, Pat Linebach, Scott Bruce, and Rich Talcott. Veteran performers Dana King and Tim Springer gathered the most points for the fighting Varsity team. Joel Hartman and senior Wayne Burris were the co-captains of this year's colorful team. To top off the year, six Tritons qualified for the difficult CIF championships at Long Beach State. How much more can a team do? Apparently some- thing more-in the area of water sports-for next year the Tritons hope to star in water polo for the first time. If the swimming team records of the last few years indicate success for the future, the Tritons are bound to have a championship water polo team. .
