673$ng Brian Peter . up So what could have been a great season, turned into a good one. During the season, the harriers were led by the performance of Tim Smith, who in his first year on varsity became number one runner. A disappointment to the team was number one man, Bill Ayer. It was expected that Ayer would come close to school records, but un- fortunately he did not meet up to his expectations. Another important runner was the third man, Bob Garcia. Garcia came through with many decent runs to complement the first two men. Other performers on the varsity were, Steve Hughes, Brian Peter, and Rich Linebach.
