Bees Sweep League The Triton team, coached by Mr. Leon and Mr. Chambers, brought home its first Crestview League Championship. In completing a nearly undefeated season, the Bees bowed only to Neff. With the fan- tastic quarterbacking of Scott Johannes, the Tritons , g rolled mercilessly over their fearful opponents. i W The first league game resulted in an easy 28-0 vic- i tory for the Triton Bees over the El Modena Van- guards. Villa Park was the next victim to fall to the powerful Tritons with a score of 28-12. Orange, Foothill and Tustin followed the trend, and bowed helplessly before the mighty Tritons. San Clemente finished off the season with honor as they smashed . . .1. John Milligan, Tom Davis An exhausted Craig Stirling hits finish line first Cross Country Rips The Triton Harriers sweeped honors for SCHS once more. To start the season off right, the runners carried home championships from the Long Beach, Orange County, and Corona del Mar Invitationals. Only once did the mighty Harriers succumb to defeat, thus tying with the El Modena Vanguards for the Crestview wag Kt W711 W W ' MW vegetarian x League Championship. Capping Off the season competition with honors, the Triton Harriers placed first in semi-finals and captured fourth place in the CIF Finals. Needless to say, the students of San Clemente High were extremely proud of the accomplishments of their cross- country team. SC and Orange Varsity teams begin the two mile race at the sound of a gun.
