Aviation Club: Brad Whitaker, Joe Urbie, Steve Pierce, Jeff Gilbert, Bob LaLonde, Sue McIntire, Paul Mordasini, Tim Duvall, Don Levine, Mrl Passaretti, Aviators Fly At Oceanside Combining class and Club the members of the Aviation Club learned all about flying. Traveling to Oceanside Airport each member received an opportunity to test their aviationary talents. The mem- bers also went to the San Juan Airport to learn all about pre-flight Checks. Under the leadership of Mr. Schween and Mr. Passaretti, the Aviation Club members benefitted greatly from the organization.

5 Astronomy Club: Steve Hinkle, Chuck Williams, Ronald Odion, Jim Tullius, Lesile Jordan, Mike Kaluger, Craig Dastrup, Rick Kramer, Sandy Ziegler, Wt HF Astronomy Comes To SC Astronomy was the craze of 1970. Going along with this current fad a new Club under the name of Astronomy was started at S.C.H.S. Interested in the stars and planets members built an observation station. Taking field trips to various observatories the Club members came in contact with people with similar interests. One of the many activities of the Astronomy Club was the counting of meteo- rites. Under the leadership of Mr. Passaretti the Club enjoyed many exciting activities.
