Officers of the Junior class: Bob McNamara, Vice-President; Tina Metzger, Treasurer; Jay Wentz, President; and Barbara Olson, Secretary, Juniors: Class of cc71,, During the past year, the juniors set an un- precedented display of spirit and unity. It start- ed with the fiesta booth in the summer where over $100 was Cleared. The football assemblies were dominated by the spirit of the class of ,71. The liBattle of the Bandsn, an early year ac- tivity, netted more profits for the Junior Class than ever before in the history of SCHS. The Bake Sale Booth at the Renaissance Festival, the attendance at school functions and dances proved to the rest of the school the Junior class knew the true meaning of spirit. The Junior Class also started two great organizations-- the Surfing Team and O.U.C.H. tOrganization for Underpreviledged Childrenl. These groups helped get students involved in interesting activities. O.U.C.H. was especially good for the students because it made them aware of what it was like to be underpreviledged and how they could help. The juniors also sponsored the From at the Balboa Pavillion. It was the highlight of the year. But it was not only the pro- jects that made the juniors Number One. It was also their attitude toward San Clemente High School. They wanted to make something of themselves and their school. They knew only one way to go--Forward. TiWe are SC. f. r-LL.., . a v r l i
