SPCJRTS Mr Sulllvan our very f1ne athletics teacher, was called to a Junlor Hlgh school to be a counselor as most of you know Mr Noble, who is taklng h1s place, is dolng a fine job with the boys and wlth the school's basketball team For the past few years, Mr Sulllvan has always had a top basketball team wlnning almost every game Mr Noble put out a very good team thls year too Some of the games that were played are Edison J V School ML5 and Park School The team players are Fruend, Ey, Campbell, Svobada, Marshall Dodson, Hoover Ed W1tt1g Krlchten, Sexton McCubb1n Dadds Brunelle, Macclola, engler, an Kraft Now that Mr Sulllvan 15 gone I slncerely belleve that no words can express how much the school mlsses hlm The l953 faculty game was a push over so the boys thought But due to clrcumstances beyond control, they lost The boys were ahead 1n the flrst quarter Then after the second strlng team had been 1n for a wh1le, the game sllpped away from the boys There was a charge to see the game The game made SL1 OO The proceeds made there was glven to charlty May I add that a few weeks after the game was over, Mr Sulllvan Varslty Basketball Coach, bought a new car Robert Langenfelder 3 4 5 t June 1953 The Gymnastlcs Club meets on Wednesday, Thursday and Frlday in the small gym They would work out on the parrellel bars, ropes and mats Mr Mlchalek, who was 1n the gym, would show them more and more d1ff1cult stunts to do at each meetlng The wlnners of the school Touch Football League was V3 The players were Captaln Albert Freund Joseph Atklnson Eduard Bair Robert Bateman Patrick Bergln Thomas Dodson Louis Ely Ronald Fox Lawrence Horney Joseph Svoboda American League w1nners GR2 Internatlonal League wlnners GX2 Every class played a f1ne game and showed very good sportsmanshlp Intramural Basketball League for 1952 1953 WHS WOH bY GR1 Ferdlnand Dorn June 1953 0 , .
