FS Student Enjoys American Activities Ricardo Bogaert, Sam Houston's '71-'72 foreign exchange student is originally from the Dominican Re- public in the Caribbean. Raised on a plantation owned by his father, Ricky likes the neighbor- hood of his American family be- cause of the short distances between friends in Arlington. He also has become friends with several of the area's Spanish speaking foreign ex- change students. Ricky is fond of music, enjoys bi- cycle riding. and has had the oppor- tunity to make the track team here at Sam Houston. The equivalent of a high school graduate in his native land, Ricky is interested in physics, calculus, eco- nomics, and politics. Quick to appreciate some American customs and fads, Ricky doesn't mind trying something different, especially if it happens to be a new record album or tape. Ricky finds enjoyment in almost any effort. Chess is Ricky's favorite game pastime, even though it takes concentrated when spending time with his brother Sam. While at the lVIassey's home, Ricky also makes friends with the family pet.
