College years, years dedicated to academic growth and achievement. Here at Salve we have strived to attain our past goals along with reaching for ones of the future. Whether it was in the classroom, the dorms, or on the campus, we were brought together. Meeting new classmates, roommates, and neighbors, we shared of ourselves and learned from one another. We expressed to one another our val- ues and beliefs — standing up for our- selves and stating our opinions — our developing identities continued to flourish. Along with this independence and self-identity we learned other valuable lessons. Those which are not taught in the classroom. We learned the mean- ing of friendship, trust and the mes- sage of happiness and love. There were so many roads which we traveled together. Those first days of introductions soon led up to paths of friendship and love. Days of laughter, the sharing of tears and so much more brought us closer together. These times made those roads of frustration and confusion so much easier to pass by. The time has come for us to travel on new roads, roads which will lead to our dreams. For some of us, we may continue to travel similar by-ways. But, for many our directions will vary. Only the memories of the days when we were together will be with us. Those memories, however, will fill our future days. Enclosed within this book are the many faces and places which we have encountered. For each of us there will be a different memory of the following pages. Not all can be recaptured in the confines of this book — but for all, the feelings of friend- ship, growth and happiness will fill our thoughts. Those memories of our college years. y-, . '
