Smiles, tears, worries, and fears. All are emotions that are characterized in the class- rooms and throughout the hall- ways of Salisbury High School. Of the many faces you will encounter as you amble through the halls of Salisbury High School, one of the friendliest and most familiar faces you will see is that of Mrs. Mary Harris. She has not only molded the char- acter of many students through- out the years, she has been a friend to many. Mrs. Harris has willingly given her time, knowledge, patience, and understanding to hundreds of students throughout the years and after a quarter of a century, she has decided to retire her teaching position in the Salisbury school system. Students remember numer- ous things about Mrs. Harris. Many of her witty sayings are well-known to all of us. One of the most famous being I smell Tutti-Fruity” meaning that someone was chewing gum. Although Mrs. Harris can be a serious teacher in the class- room. she is one that shows great spirit for her school and her students. Her enthusiasm has captured us all at one time or another, be the topic the table of elements or some upcoming sports challenge. Mrs. Harris is a one of a kind teacher and person. The students of SHS. past and present, want to say Thank-you Mary Harris. We won't forget what you have taught us. At ycu - SHS 32 Student Life I. C. Billing . Angie Perkin . 2. K. A bury. R. The Varsity Panthers were a very gutsy team whose record did not speak for the achievements of their season. These young men played tough, fast basketball. The team was faced by illness and other set backs throughout the year. The season started off with a bang and the Panthers stood at 3 wins and I loss. Momentum sagged toward the middle and end of the season and even though the team continued putting forth a great effort, their record began dropping.
