gQSSjfKlQRy We, the class of ' 51, well recall live years ago when v e first entered Sal- isbury High School. The strangeness of the school and students quickly disappeared with the aid of helpful teachers and the making of new friends, With new friends, new surroundings, and new teachers, we settled down to work and to the sharing of experiences to which we now refer as our class History. Then came our second year in high school. The teachers rules, and re- quirements had become a part of us and we were proud to be students of this school. Since we were in the ninth grade, we become eligible to partici- pate in all activities. Many times members of our class excelled other students in the extra curricular activities. As time passed and our keen minds began to develop more fully, we be- gan our third year with an understanding and appreciation for better methods of learning. Our class continued to do well in their studies and activities. During this year we had many representatives of our class on the varsity team and in other outstanding clubs. Our fourth year found us proud Juniors with a desire to become effective student citizens. We organized into one large class. During this year, our curriculum was changed slightly with the addition of activity chibs. In these clubs we found new interests and many opportunities for developing our hobbies. Much hidden talent was brought out by these special clubs. It was with deep regret that we faced our last year in school. We found it difficult to be dignified seniors after being carefree for four years. Never before had we realized how much S. H. S. meant to as or the place it had claimed in our hearts. We realized, however, that all good things must come to an end, so it was with this feeling that we looked forward to graduation. Our class history is probably like that of any other class, but we feel that the impn ■ -.! . n Salisbury High has made on us will make us forever de- voted to her. It is with this purpose in mind that we record this book of fond memories of our past high school life. With deepest sincerity, we hope that we. the class of ' 51, will inspire others to higher heights.
