Girls League Ojicers Girls League Council The Girls' League, an organization made up of all the girls in Salem High School does much to foster a friendlier relationship among the girls. Officers for l943-44 were Evangeline Mc Kinlay, president, Roberta Rogers, vice president, loan Remington, secretary, Betty Staab, treasurer, Trudie Meier, song leader, Evelyn Meyer, sergeant at arms. Miss Mabel Roberts son, dean of girls, is the adviser. Every year each incoming sophomore is assigned a big sister Who helps her get acquainted with Salem High. Events of the year included the traditional print Week in the spring, and the interclass rivalry programs. The seniors Won with their presentation of Stage Door Canteen. Sophomores were second with The Doll Shop and juniors third with Hillbilly Hill. l R - ' 45, 1 , , The representatives of the Girls' League council made up of girls from each home room are as follows: Dolores Converse, Gayle Crozier, Lorna Arnold, Charlotte Mathis, Lavelle Cross, Marilyn Clare, lane Carson, Goldie Hagel, Betty Twedt, Esther Lenaburg, Patsy O'Connor, Bernice Isharn, luanita Culbertson, Shirley Lukins, leanne Demytt, Ioyce Anderegg, Ramona Evans, Maysel Weinberg, Rosalie Wacken, Betty Lou Vasby, Patsy Nickens, Mary Elizabeth Reinhart, Barbara Upjohn, Ruth Conrad, Phyllis Plant, Pat Berryhill, Dorothy Bergsvik, Aileen Hanner, Carolyn Carson, Stella Teeson, Betty Boone, Maxine Simon, Lucille Hottert, Opal Howland, Shirley Dagenhardt, Wilma Noyes, lulia lenson, Mary Hughes, Wanda Steinbruck, Barbara Botts, Charlotte Williaiiis, and Sarah Morse. .-21-
