enior 'Glass The members of the senior class are leaving behind them a gay 'three-years' history. ln their sophomore year, ,Tom Kay performed the duties of president, aiding in the arranging of many affairs during that year. The first organized activity was the class dinner, which was held just before a football game and took the form of a rally dinner. Later in the year, the sophomores held a novelty class skate. The fall of the next year brought the junior class dinner, followed by a minstrel show consisting of junior talent. ln these activities, the juniors were led by their presi- dent, Leslie Klampe, who performed the duties of his office with resourcefulness and vigor. Also under the sponsorship of the juniors were the junior class dance, which brightened the chill of the winter, and the junior-senior prom, which had as its theme bright and colorful Hawaii. As seniors, the class chose Bob Mundt to manage affairs. The office of vice presi- dent was excellently managed by Mary jane Brabec, while the minutes were re- corded in perfect form by Kathleen Broer. The finances of the class were entrusted to lean Alice Carkin. Songs and yells were very successfully led by jean Burrell and Dorane Humphrey. Rollie Cleveland preserved peace and order at the class meet- ings. Among the outstanding activites of the senior class were the Senior Swingaroo, the All-School Skate, and the May Festival Dance. - The senior class has most decidedly been a credit to itself, to its advisers, and to the school as a whole. T Jenior 'Gouneil Council members were: Marion Aplin, Don Barrick, Ronagene Bielke, Mary Ben- nett, Ben Blake, Dick Casteel, lean Alice Carkin, Ruth Doer, Florence Duffy, Mar- garetForsythe, Pat Higgins, Grover Hofstetler, Aubrey Holt, Les Klarnpe, Kate Kyono, Bob Ladd, Pat Ryer, Gertrude Scheiss, Nadine Straw, Margerie Welton, Ralph Yocom. twenty-two Advisers were Miss Anne Boentje, Miss Mary B. Sayles, and Mr. Walter Bowman.
