The Student Council, in cooperation with the principal, faculty, student body officers, and student body members, helps guide thc school. Through it must go all requisitions for funds, all amendments to the constitu- tion, and every detail pertaining to the run- ning of the student body. The council is the hub of the wheel from which radiates the class councils, from them the class itself. The members of the Council are each re- sponsible to the Associated Student Body for one or more of the special interest clubs in the school. A committee from this body is elected to make all arrangements for the elections, another is appointed to present the bills and hnancial reports, and other students serve on the social committees. The members all cooperate with the student body officers who are ex-officio members. Ili irleen

Rex Vxfirt The Associated Student Body of of Salem High School is composed of every member of the school and is placed under the leadership of twelve officers and the Student Council. These officers are elected by the stu- dents themselves in their ability to carry on the duties and functions of their respective offices. This year's student body, under the able leadership of Delbert Anderson, has shown a wide interest and real enthusiasm in all school activities. The other officers of the Associated Student Body are deserving of praise for their co-operation with faculty members and students toward the com- pletion of a more effective school year.
