The HiTri girls sponsored the dance and brought cookies and hors d’oeuvres for refreshments. The music was provided by the Student Council. On February 9, 1985, the Student Council sponsored a Valen- tine’s Dance in the new gym from 8-11 pm. Midwest Sound and Light Show provided the musical entertain- ment. An added feature this year was the crowning of a senior king and queen. Queen candidates chosen by the student body were Shannon Doherty, Jan Helm, and Angie Kane. Competing for king were Greg Eells, Kyle Ambuehl, and Mike Chitty. At 10 pm Queen Jan Helm and King Greg Eells were crowned by council members Dave Doherty and Lori Hughes.
