In Mr. Mark Johnson's phys- iology classes, students receive basic knowledge in health and anatomy. They make notebooks pertaining to the current course of study. During the latter part of the year, the classes study occupational civics. Mr. Mark H. Johnson B.S. in Ed.; Physiology, Drivers' Education, Assistant Basketball Coach, Assistant Football Coach; Southern Illinois University. SCIENCE INTERRELATED VOCATIONAL Interrelated Cooper- ative Vocational Education, anew program at S.C.H.S., is designed to train students as they work. Mr. B. J. Lance is the coordi- nator. Most students work half a day and attend school half a day. Students receive two credits from the class. In this program students learn to do in an on- the-job atmosphere. Mr. B. J. Lance B.S. Ed.; Agriculture; Centralia Junior College, University of Illinois, Junior Class; F.F.A. 28 VOCATIONAL Soil science, taught by Mr. Robert Cone, provides boys with a foundation for later work in agriculture. This course i s a great asset for those who will later be employed in fields re- lated to farm management.
