First year algebra is taught by Mr. Don Shuman, a new faculty member this year, who, in this picture, is explaining to one of his classes the method of solving practical problems by algebra. LEARNING ABOUT LIFE Biology, taught by Mr. Lester Deason, is a course in which the students get the funda- mentals of many different sciences. The students in this picture are very much interested in insect life. Oswald, the anatomy model, has helped many students understand the various parts of the physical body. Tommy Horner and Dave Westerman are pointing out to the class some of the important parts of the digestive system. Miss Ruth Brandes, besides teaching physiology, helps students to decide their careers in a guidance program.
